US Military Clean

A Business for Veterans to Own

Military Maintenance helps US Veterans start successful cleaning maintenance businesses. We provide one on one training for each veteran. We begin with incorporating your business, then we provide a training manual, all necessary equipment, cleaning maintenance instruction, how to acquire and retain new accounts, a presentation portfolio, bidding instruction and bidding software, introduction and closing scripts, marketing for acquiring clients, OSHA training and certifications, personal business website, clothing, business cards, dedicated social media sites, research of your metropolitan area and businesses to approach, including introductions to government contractors and potential new clients. – In addition, we host monthly Zoom training courses for US Military Maintenance owners.

Commercial Office Cleaning: This is a great business because the startup and equipment costs are minimal, a vacuum, wet mops, mop buckets, floor dust mop, feather duster, and rags and spray bottles are all you need to get started. This business is also ideal because you sign long-term contracts that require a 30 to 60 day written notice before canceling of services. This enables you to maintain an accurate budget based on assured monthly payments. It is also an easy business to do. It basically requires removing trash, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning the kitchen and toilets. You can train others easily, and no equipment training and additional insurance is required. Plus, this business can generate a very good income quickly. – For instance: a 5000 sq. ft. office can be cleaned well in 90 minutes. Your billing for cleaning an office of that size will often be $2,500 a month. That amounts to $30,000 a year for working an hour and a half, 5 evenings a week. Image if you had 5 such accounts: You would work 7.5 hours a night and earn $150,000 a year.

Real Estate Property Maintenance: This is the preparation of homes, apartments, and condos that are for sale, or rent. (It may include vacant commercial offices too.) – To acquire these accounts you work with R.E. Property Managers. The homes, apartments, and condos, they are managing require a thorough cleaning before they can be shown to potential occupants. This includes kitchens and appliances, bathrooms, windows, floors, and all drawers and cupboards. – Ideally, you will provide carpet cleaning, power washing of the garage and driveway, yard clean up, small repairs, painting, and possibly hauling of trash and furnishings. – This is a day by day, as needed business. It is difficult to budget because you do not know what your expenses and earning will be month by month. However, if you provide outstanding and reliable work, you may receive calls from multiple property managers every week. This is a daytime business, and has the potential to be exceedingly profitable.

Carpet Cleaning: The best thing about this business is that almost every home and business has a carpet. So, your potential clients are enormous. It will cost $3k to 4K to purchase commercial quality equipment, but you can easily earn that much in a week. – You definitely need to be trained for this business, because various carpets are made of different kinds of fibers that need to be cleaned in a specific way and with several temperatures of water and solutions. We provide that training. – The average cost for carpet cleaning is $175 per 500 sq. ft.. Therefore, a home with 2500 sq. ft of carpet would earn you $700. That will take approximately 3 hours. So, you will earn $233. an hour, minus the cost for your cleaning solution, which costs $38 a gallon, enough to clean 7500 sq. ft of carpet. – This is a great business. It is easy to expand and train employees. And portable equipment that you can fit in a truck or large car can be just as effective as a truck mounted carpet cleaner.

Window Cleaning: This is a service you can include in a commercial office cleaning business, but it can also be an inexpensive and profitable business to start. This does not include buildings of more than 3 stories. There are window cleaning wands that reach 3 stories, so ladders and rigs are not required. – You can also sign contracts for this service and establish a monthly budget. Store front businesses usually just require the outside of their windows to be cleaned. But homes and offices require both sides of windows, as well as the screens. –  For cleaning the windows of a typical 2500 sq. ft. home , you would charge $400.

Pressure Washing: This is also a very inexpensive business to start. You can purchase a commercial pressure washer for less than $300. The average charge for pressure washing depends on the job and whether you are cleaning cement, brick or stucco. It can include the outside walls of a building, but most commonly garages, patios, driveways and walkways. The charge for cleaning 500 sq. ft. ranges between $200 to $300. That usually takes no more than an hour.
